You know how 1989-1995 (Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King) is called the Disney Renaissance? It’s because Don Bluth kicked Disney’s ass on animated movies for almost the entire decade of the 80s which is why it was a rebirth when it turned to making the better films.
